Hi J,
Thanks so much for offering to post something on the neighborhood site. Feel free to include a link to my LinkedIn profile, and here is a general explanation of what I am looking for.
What I do is senior project management or middle management of innovation in hi-tech manufacturing industry. I have been working with aseptic food packaging systems at Tetra Pak, and these systems depend on a very wide range of technologies and professional competencies, so my skills would be useful in a wide range of industries.
In addition to food and packaging, good fits in Twin Cities industries would be medical devices, plastics, waste management/recycling, automotive, industrial automation, semiconductor manufacturing, or even electronics manufacturing. Not defense, though.
At the moment I am leading an enterprise-wide re-engineering of the development and manufacturing of the highest-volume and most critical machine components Tetra Pak makes.
Before this, I created a systematic process for managing the post-consumer value of Tetra Pak packages. I actually invented the concept of post-consumer value: the net economic, environmental and social benefits emerging from the collective response of consumers and waste-management networks to a particular product after its primary use has ended. I also developed a method for modeling and predicting that response, and the business processes to use this approach to generate, evaluate and steer product innovation and value-chain-intervention initiatives. Whew, it takes a lot of breath to say it - and Tetra Pak gave me an award for it!
Actually, I am still involved in implementing and applying the post-consumer thing in Tetra Pak, and there is some chance I may be able to parlay this into paying work (for Tetra Pak) that I can do while based in South Tyrol. But, maybe there is someone else in the Cities who might be interested...
I hope that is not too much information!
Thanks again,
John
